Parents,
We have been blessed to have several area businesses participate in EITC
(Educational Improvement Tax Credits) program this year!
They have designated funds specifically for use as scholarships
for our SCA families. We
have been praying about this for at least 5 years!
One of our board members, Darron Erdman, has been instrumental in
getting these businesses to contribute on our behalf.
What
does that mean to you?
If you meet the qualifications for these funds, you could receive
between 10-50% off your tuition.
Distribution will be based on need, the number of students in the
school, and income. An EITC
application must be completed and returned with a copy of your 2009
Federal Income Tax Return (IRS form 1040, 1040A or 1040EZ).
This information is kept confidential.
The state of
Pennsylvania
sets minimum guidelines and requires complete confidentiality. Only the
administrator oversee the EITC program.
SCA requires all families receiving money to adhere to all school
policies and procedures, support SCA sponsored fundraisers, be current
with tuition payments, and present SCA in a positive light.
The financial guidelines are as follows:
-
Annual household income must not exceed $50,000
-
Additional $10,000 is permitted for each dependent living within the
household (Ex. A family
making $80,000 or less with 3 dependents may be eligible for EITC
funds.)
We encourage you to apply. EITC
application forms are available in the school office.
We know with the economy as it is, paying for a Christian
education can be difficult. Obviously,
we believe in Christian education so we are trying to keep it
affordable. This program
will help! We thank God for
the timing of this financial help.
Please take the time to thank and patronize these businesses for their
support of Christian education at SCA:
